I’m starting to think my Starts of the Week are cursed.

This week I picked Brett Favre based on his great matchup against the Raiders. I was thinking about Chris Johnson, but I had used running backs a lot this season.

Well, Johnson exploded while Favre has been invisible in the first half.

But here’s the twist — my Starts of the Week explode in their next game.

Last week I used Adrian Peterson. He had a decent game against the Lions, but two fumbles hurt his stat line. This week he went off for 121 yards and two touchdowns in a win over the Bears.

The previous week it was Marion Barber, who failed to produce huge numbers against the Bengals. In his next game, he caught 11 passes, totaled 173 scrimmage yards and scored a touchdown in a loss to the Cardinals.

So it seems I’ve started a Sports Illustrated or Madden cover-type curse.

But you should definitely start Favre in Week 8!
