Incognito’s actions don’t go unrecognized

St. Louis guard Richie Incognito laid into officials last week and the NFL laid into him Friday, hitting him with a triple whammy.
Incognito was fined a total of $35,000:
- $25,000 for repeated verbal abuse of a game official (abusive behavior towards a game official)
- $5,000 for a major facemask
- $5,000 for a chop block.
Ouch.
And the fines didn’t stop there. Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter and Broncos cornerback Dre’ Bly were each fined $20,000 for inappropriate comments on officiating, while Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher was fined $20,000 for abusive conduct toward a game official (verbal abuse).
Maybe this weekend players will learn.
