Colts place Hart on IR

The Colts placed Mike Hart on the injured reserve list on Wednesday, ending the rookie running back’s season. Hart, the team’s third-string back, injured his right knee in the second quarter against the Steelers after starter Joseph Addai had left the game with a hamstring injury.

The Colts made several roster moves today that coach Tony Dungy had hinted at on Monday. The team signed RB Chad Simpson from the practice squad, and also signed free agent RB Clifton Dawson, who was cut by the team in August. The Colts waived DT LaJuan Ramsey and DB Nick Graham to make room on the active roster for Simpson and DT John McCargo, who was acquired on Tuesday.

The Colts also announced LB Tyjuan Hagler would begin practing today. He has been on the PUP list since training camp.
