Tuesday could be big news day; or not

It’s shaping up as yet another wild news day in the NFL. Of course, it could turn out to be quiet, too. But check out what’s on tap for this afternoon.

The Chiefs are shopping tight end Tony Gonzalez, who would like to end up in New York playing for the Giants.

The Lions are entertaining the idea of trading wide receiver Roy Williams.

And NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is holding a 5 p.m. ET news conference from the NFL owners meetings, at which point the question of Adam “Pacman” Jones will come up.

If the league is going to take action on Jones — and the hunch here is it will — then today would be the day in which Goodell would announce his punishment.
