Raiders’ Cable to scale back on Russell

Raiders new coach Tom Cable learned something about his second-year QB, JaMarcus Russell, in Sunday’s loss to the Saints.

Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times explains.

“We really found out a lot about where he is,” Cable said in his weekly news conference Monday. “And it’s obvious he’s still in a stage of development. It’s obvious maybe he can’t handle that much.” More
