Kitna out, Orlovsky will start for Lions

Though backup quarterback Dan Orlovsky will start for Detroit today in place of injured starter Jon Kitna against Minnesota, he will have reinforcements on offense.
Despite the fact that both of Detroit’s starting wide receivers were listed as questionable, Calvin Johnson and Roy Williams will be active and are expected to start. Johnson was questionable with a knee injury; Williams questionable with a hip injury. Both receivers will play.
Kitna didn’t practice this week after leaving last week’s game during the fourth quarter with back spasms. He was listed as doubtful on Friday’s final injury report.
