Importance of quarterback depth

Once again the league is reminded as to why it is so important to carry a quality No. 2, and sometimes a quality No. 3, quarterback.
Entering Sunday’s games, eight teams have started more than one quarterback, and the Chiefs have started three.
And if Detroit starts Dan Orlovsky and Seattle starts Charlie Frye, as expected, then 10 teams will have started at least two quarterbacks this season, with 43 different quarterbacks making starts.
And that number is going to rise … and rise … and rise.
