Bengals sign kicker Rayner

With kicker Shayne Graham slowed by a groin injury in practice this week, the Bengals signed free agent K Dave Rayner on Saturday.

Graham sat out practice on Thursday and Friday and is listed as questionable on the final injury report. Bengals coach Marvin Lewis indicated on Friday that Graham would be available to handle field goals, with Rayner expected to take over kickoff duties, according to

Rayner has played in 41 games with Indianapolis, Green Bay, Kansas City and San Diego, connecting on 41 of 58 field-goal attempts. He was released by Detroit on Aug. 26.

The Bengals also waived FB Reagan Maui’a, a second-year player from Hawaii.
