Will league discipline Cowboys’ Jones?

Bad — but not unexpected — news for Adam Jones and the Dallas Cowboys. The NFL is investigating the incident the star cornerback was involved in at a Dallas hotel early Wednesday morning.

Now the Cowboys do not believe Jones did anything wrong. But NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell clearly told Jones that he could not put himself, the team or the league in a bad position. It is up to the league to determine whether he has. If he has, Jones could be facing strong consequences from the law-and-order commissioner, Goodell, who has to be disappointed that he even has to address and consider more ill-advised behavior from Jones.
