Picking QBs is a real crapshoot

Tim Couch was a No. 1 overall draft pick.

Akili Smith, Cade McNown, Ryan Leaf and Jim Druckenmiller were all selected in the first round.

Giovanni Carmazzi, Chris Redman, Tee Martin and Spergon Wynn were all drafted ahead of Tom Brady in the 2000 NFL Draft.

However, Tony Romo and Kurt Warner — who will go head-to-head at University of Phoenix Stadium on Sunday — go undrafted, but work their way into the starting spot and go on to excel at the position.
