Jackson is tough for 49ers to bear

Hindsight is 20/20, many have said, and in no place is that more apparent than in the NFL’s annual draft.
This Sunday, the 49ers will get a 5-10, 175-pound speedy reminder of what they passed on not once, but twice, in April’s draft.
While DeSean Jackson has been an electric playmaker for the Eagles, the players the 49ers drafted — DE Kentwan Balmer and OG Chilo Rachal — have yet to hit the field for the 49ers.
John Crumpacker of The San Francisco Chronicle asks, what say you, Mike Nolan, after taking a pass on Jackson not once but twice?
“We liked the two players we took,” Nolan said. “We did like him (Jackson) as well, though. He’s a very good player. We met with him. It was a good experience in speaking with him. He was the explosive player we thought he would be. At the time, we felt we had players who would help us more quickly.” Full story
