Young, Scheffler out for Broncos

The Denver Broncos will be without two key offensive players against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Coach Mike Shanahan announced Wednesday that RB Selvin Young and TE Tony Scheffler won’t play against the Jaguars due to groin injuries. Both players were injured in last week’s win over Tampa Bay.

Shanahan did say rookie WR Eddie Royal should be ready to play. Royal left last week with an ankle injury that Shanahan described Wednesday as a “bone bruise.” He said Royal will resume practicing tomorrow. DE Ebenezer Ekuban was also scheduled to sit out practice on Wednesday but expected to play.
