Bruised Steelers D delivers in clutch

With a decimated running back corps, the Steelers needed a gallant effort out of the defense, which is exactly what the unit did to secure a 26-21 victory over the Jaguars on Sunday night, writes Bob Smizik of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

“I can’t say enough about Hokey and Travis Kirschke,” Steelers coach Mike Tomlin told the Post-Gazette. “And how big is Orpheus Roye? We go get him late in the process and thankfully we have him. He’s been delivering for us.” Full story
