Broncos’ Royal leaves game against Bucs

Broncos rookie WR Eddie Royal suffered an apparent lower left leg injury on a punt return midway through the third quarter against the Buccaneers. Royal’s left leg was rolled over when he was tackled at the end of a 6-yard return. He attempted to walk off the field on his own, but had to be helped by trainers. He was later taken to the locker room.
Veteran Brandon Stokley replaced Royal in the Broncos’ two-receiver sets, and scored on a 10-yard reception to end the drive.
