Chargers activate LB Cooper

The San Diego Chargers added LB Stephen Cooper to the active roster on Saturday and released DT Brandon McKinney.

Cooper returns to the roster after being suspended by the NFL for the first four games of the season. He was suspended by the league in April for testing positive for a banned stimulant. Cooper, who led the Chargers with 179 tackles while starting all 16 games in his first season as a starter last season, returned to the team on Monday.
