Steelers’ Leftwich rediscovers comfort zone

Steelers backup quarterback Byron Leftwich will return this weekend to Jacksonville, where he was the starter for four years. Scott Brown of the Pittsburgh Tribune Review says Leftwich has made fast friends in the Steelers’ locker room:

“Wide receiver Hines Ward called the player who has been on the Steelers for less than three months a ‘locker room favorite,'” Brown writes.

“Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said backup quarterback Byron Leftwich has been ‘awesome’ and a ‘breath of fresh air.'” Full story
