Packers prepping rookie Flynn

While the Packers are forced to take a wait-and-see approach regarding whether starting QB Aaron Rodgers will be able to play Sunday with his separated right shoulder, coach Mike McCarthy spent Thursday’s practice preparing rookie backup Matt Flynn to start.

“He had a nice practice today,” said McCarthy. “That was the focus.”

McCarthy said the team would evaluate the shoulder again Friday and intimated they still had another 48 hours to make a decision on Rogers, who was limited during practice on Wednesday.
