Bears suspend DT Harris
Published: October 2nd, 2008 | Tags: Chicago Bears, Tommie Harris
The Chicago Bears have suspended defensive tackle Tommie Harris for this week’s game against the Detroit Lions for being late for treatment and a meeting, according to a source close to the situation.
He was not expected to play against the Lions anyway.
It’s interesting to note that the two players who have been suspended the past two weeks, Harris and Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress, are both Drew Rosenhaus clients who signed long-term contract extensions before the season started.
Harris signed a four-year, $32 million extension.
