Receivers return to Seattle

For the first time this season, Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck will have a full array of receivers in which to throw the football.

Wide receiver Bobby Engram will be back. Wide receiver Deion Branch will be back. And the Seahawks will have some added firepower they’ve lacked through the first part of the season.

“I think everyone is excited,” Hasselbeck said Wednesday. “Engram and Branch both are two leaders on our football team. They are great guys, great teammates and they are really good players. So having them back is definitely a boost for just the confidence and a swagger that we have had at times on offense.

“Just knowing that the guys you are out there with have a lot of experience, have played in a lot of big games and they have made a lot of plays. And together you have done it. … It has been an adventure, but I think we got through it.”

And so while the Giants lose a receiver in Plaxico Burress, the Seahawks get theirs back.
