Jets coach Eric Mangini is on a bye week, but these days there is no bye. Every day is the waiting game.

Mangini’s wife, Julie, is due to give birth Oct. 10 to the couple’s third child, a boy. But the Manginis are on guard. Their first two sons, each born Feb. 26, came early.

But with this week being the Jets’ bye, the boy’s timing could be impeccable. But Mangini knows his life will be different afterwards. But he’s not worried about 4 a.m. wakeup calls from a crying baby.

“I’ll probably just be getting home, so it will be perfect,” Mangini said. “I’ll have a bottle, watch a little bad TV. (It’s) kind of what I normally do, I just don’t have a bottle.”
