Maybe it’s his toe. Maybe it’s his 2,422 career regular-season carries. Or maybe he’s just another running back who’s losing some of his effectiveness late in his career.
Whatever it is, LaDainian Tomlinson doesn’t look right to me.

Rams cornerback Tye Hill injured his right knee in the first quarter during a 31-14 loss to the Bills.

Sebastian Janikowski just attempted a 76-yard field goal at the end of the first half against San Diego! The try fell at least 15 yards short.
That will probably be the longest field-goal attempt I ever see in my lifetime!

Minnesota quarterback Gus Frerotte injured his hand late in a loss to the Titans when he was hit on a pass.

JaMarcus Russell just hit Zach Miller on a 63-yard touchdown strike to put Oakland ahead of San Diego 12-0. Another (but much more prominent) tight end, Jason Witten, has also found the end zone.
He connected with Tony Romo on a 21-yard touchdown pass.

Anquan Boldin, Arizona’s Pro Bowl WR, was taken off the field on a stretcher after a scary collision.
Late in the fourth quarter, Boldin went airborne attempting to catch a touchdown pass, but was hit from behind from Jets FS Kerry Rhodes, causing his head to snap forward, and then — almost simultaneously — was hit in the front by SS Eric Smith and Boldin’s head snapped backwards.

Brett Favre just threw his sixth touchdown pass of the afternoon, this one to Dustin Keller on a 24-yard pass. If you can believe it, Favre had previously never thrown for six scores in a game in his career!
Anquan Boldin just took a scary-looking hit in the contest and is being taken off the field on a cart. Jets SS Eric Smith led a smashing hit with his helmet and made contact at full speed into Boldin’s facemask.

Denver WR Cliff Russell was taken off the field on a stretcher after a big collision on a kickoff against the Chiefs.

Kurt Warner’s numbers in the first half of this afternoon’s game against the Jets were uglier than the 1989 Dallas Cowboys.
But right at this very moment, the veteran quarterback has thrown for 402 yards and two touchdowns!

While the Panthers beat the Falcons , Carolina lost both its offensive tackles. Left tackle Jordan Gross left in the first quarter with a concussion and right tackle Jeff Otah hurt his right ankle in the third period.

Brett Favre just threw his fifth touchdown pass of the afternoon, this one to Jerricho Cotchery, on a 40-yard connection. Favre has now recorded 265 yards and the five scores against an Arizona team that entered the week ranked 11th in pass defense.
Of course, that was with SS Adrian Wilson. He is out of action in this contest due to injury.

Aaron Rodgers remained on the sidelines for the Packers after he appeared to hurt his right shoulder earlier in the second half. Rookie Matt Flynn has replaced him under center.
Rodgers has had a solid start to this season, but injuries have always been a concern. I’ll let you know how serious it is as soon as I find out more details.

Remember when we weren’t surprised when Chad Johnson found the end zone?
Well, he just scored his first touchdown of the season on a 4-yard pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick. Johnson still isn’t having a great game (three catches, 28 yards), but the score definitely helps.

After throwing a 48-yard TD pass to Greg Jennings, Aaron Rodgers left the field with what looked to be a shoulder injury with 1:55 left in the third quarter.

After three weeks of being statistically invisible, Braylon Edwards has finally found the end zone.
He scored on a 4-yard pass from Derek Anderson that put the Browns ahead of Cincinnati 10-6. Of course, Edwards only has two catches for 10 yards on the afternoon, so he’s not exactly lighting the fantasy world on fire, either.
