Gross leaves game for Panthers

Panthers OT Jordan Gross was forced to the leave game against the Falcons with a head injury in the first quarter. He appeared to get hit in the head following a 1-yard run by DeAngelo Williams and fell awkwardly, laying face down on the grass.

After a delay of several minutes, a stretcher was sent onto the field for Gross, who waived it off. He instead left on the back of a cart, pumping his right fist to the crowd as he left.

The Panthers moved Travelle Wharton to left tackle and Geoff Hangartner came in at left guard.
