Cowboys’ Spencer expected to play vs. Redskins

Washington lost pass-rusher Jason Taylor for Sunday’s key NFC East game against Dallas. But the Cowboys are expecting back one of their pass rushers, outside linebacker Anthony Spencer.
After missing Sunday night’s game against Green Bay, Spencer now is expected to be sufficiently recovered from the right knee injury that has troubled him throughout the season.
Spencer, the Cowboys’ first-round pick last year, initially underwent arthroscopic surgery on Aug. 20 to remove bone chips in his knee. He missed the Cowboys’ first game at Cleveland, returned for their second game against Philadelphia, missed Sunday night’s against Green Bay, and now, keeping in pattern, is expected back against the Redskins.
