Broncos place Nalen on injured reserve

The Denver Broncos placed center Tom Nalen on injured reserve on Tuesday with a left knee injury.

Nalen, 37, has been deactivated by the Broncos for all three games this season after undergoing two offseason knee surgeries. The Broncos had been holding out hope the five-time Pro Bowler would be able to return at some point during the season. Casey Wiegmann, a 15-year veteran signed as a free agent from the Chiefs during the offseason, has started all three games at center.
