Westbrook owners should add Buckhalter

Eagles coach Andy Reid told reporters that Brian Westbrook suffered a strained ankle in Sunday’s win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. An MRI revealed no ligament damage, but his status for Week 4 remains uncertain.
“He’s limping around without crutches today,” Reid said. “I guess that’s a positive. It will be a race to get him ready for Sunday.”
Fantasy owners who have Westbrook should look to add Correll Buckhalter off the waiver wire right now as insurance. Lorenzo Booker would also see more time if Westbrook were out, but Buckhalter is the better bet for carries against Chicago.
In other injury-related news, Jon Kitna suffered a sprained knee against San Francisco.
The Lions have a bye in Week 4, so he will have extra time to recover. But if the ailment is serious, coach Rod Marinelli could start Dan Orlovsky or Drew Stanton in Kitna’s absence.
If you have Calvin Johnson or Roy Williams on your roster, say a prayer that Kitna’s knee isn’t too bad. Just look at what the loss of Tom Brady has done to the value of Randy Moss.
And Kitna is no Brady.
