If it makes you feel better…

Ronnie Brown was active in only 17 percent of NFL.com leagues this week.

Furthermore, he’s still a free agent in 7 percent of leagues. Sure, you probably want to kick yourself for sitting him (I did too!). But unless you started a backup like Jerious Norwood or Ahmad Bradshaw ahead of him, you made the best move at the time.

The Patriots hadn’t allowed a rushing touchdown all season, and Brown did nothing in the first two weeks. Heck, he wasn’t even atop the depth chart in Miami until this morning. The pregame news that he would start ahead of Ricky Williams did make him a more viable fantasy choice, but it was still hard to start a back that had been invisible.

Remember, there’s no way to accurately predict who will succeed and who will fail all of the time.
