Hochuli getting back on field

Despite the devastation he felt after blowing a call during Denver’s controversial 39-38 victory over San Diego, referee Ed Hochuli is wasting no time jumping back into the spotlight.
Hochuli will be the referee during today’s Browns-Ravens game in Baltimore.
As devastated as Hochuli was, some wondered whether he would — or should — take some time away from the game. But the NFL believed the best way for Hochuli to get past his mistake was to get back to work. Thus, he will be on the field today, in Baltimore, trying to be the fine referee that was his reputation rather than the one that made the glaring mistake last Sunday.
And now he gets a matchup that knows controversy. Remember the last time the Browns and Ravens met in Baltimore — Cleveland kicker Phil Dawson kicked the wackiest field goal in NFL history. Dawson connected on a 51-yard field goal that bounced off the upright before crossing the crossbar and then bouncing back into the endzone. The Ravens left the field, thinking they won the game. But after meeting, referees ruled the field goal was good. And in overtime, the Browns won.
