The AP is reporting Pittsburgh Steelers LB James Farrior was fined $7,500 by the NFL for unsportsmanlike conduct. Farrior had been penalized for taunting on a pass play in which he stood over a Browns receiver in last Sunday night’s win over Cleveland.
During the game, Farrior also reportedly made an obscene gesture toward Cleveland Browns fans. Farrior made the gesture during the third quarter of the Steelers’ 10-6 win, saying afterward he was upset because fans were celebrating a minor injury to S Ryan Clark.
Farrior said Thursday he was worried that he was going to be fined more than $7,500.
