Familiar face bolsters Jags’ O-line

Now that guard Chris Naeole is ready and recovered from the torn quadriceps tendon he suffered midway through last season, Jacksonville has re-signed him to bolster its offensive line.
Just as Seattle is doing all it can to add receivers, Jacksonville has adopted the same approach for its depleted offensive line. After losing starting guards Vince Manuwai and Maurice Williams to season-ending injuries, the Jaguars signed Milfred Brown last week and Naeole on Wednesday.
Naeole should not have any problem picking up Jacksonville’s system. The former first-round draft pick played in Jacksonville from 2002 through last year, when the Jaguars released him in March. Jacksonville had been eyeing Naeole as a replacement all along but it wasn’t until now that he was fully recovered from the injury he suffered in week eight last season.
And now that Naeole is better, so is the Jaguars offensive line.
