Roethlisberger will be limited in practice

Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin hasn’t finished his Tuesday press conference, but he did update the status of QB Ben Roethlisberger. Tomlin said he met with Roethlisberger this morning, and was told the quarterback feels better than he did at this point last week. He expects Roethlisberger to be limited in practice this week as the Steelers prepare for Sunday’s game at Philadelphia.
“Hopefully he’ll progress like he did last week,” said Tomlin.
Roethlisberger has been slowed by a sore shoulder, which Tomlin referred to as an AC sprainĀ (technically an acromioclavicular separation). Roethlisberger was clearly bothered by the shoulder in last week’s 10-6 win over Cleveland, but played the entire game in rainy conditions and completed 12-of-19 passes for 186 yards and a touchdown.
