Mystery still surrounds Bears wide receiver/returner Devin Hester’s rib injury, but at least some questions now can be answered.

Hester did not break any ribs. He will not miss an extended period of time. But Hester did sustain some soft-tissue damage that could sideline him another couple of days or possibly up to two weeks.
Hester injured his ribs on a non-contact play against Carolina while he was returning a kick. He underwent an MRI on Monday that revealed the soft-tissue problem, but also left plenty of questions.

Whether Hester plays Sunday against Tampa Bay will depend on his pain threshold and how the Bears want to handle him. But Hester seems to be questionable in the truest sense of the word.
