Ravens, Texans get extra compensation

Before the league could announce the rescheduled Ravens-Texans game in November, it had to figure out with the NFL Players Association how much extra compensation to pay the players for missing off days during their bye week.
It won’t amount to much — maybe a few hundred bucks per player per day — but the Ravens and Texans players are each expected to make over $500 for working during a week that turned out to be their bye week. Each player is paid the same, and it will come out to be a few hundred dollars per day.
Figure it like an unexpected and unofficial tax credit.
