Patriots, Bills make significant roster moves

With all the Vince Young hoopla and the postponement of Monday night’s Ravens-Texas game, the focus shifted off two potentially significant roster moves.
For starters, the Buffalo Bills activated Pro Bowl LT Jason Peters and, to make room for him, released OL Matt Murphy. With Peters now on the roster, it only figures he will start against Jacksonville today, forcing Buffalo to juggle its offensive line — but also greatly upgrading it.
In New England, the Patriots signed QB Matt Guttierez from their practice squad to the active roster and released WR C.J. Jones to make room for him. Some thought Guttierez outplayed Matt Cassel in the preseason and it’s possible his turn at quarterback might not be far away.
