Bears WR Devin Hester left Sunday’s game against the Panthers with an apparent rib injury and did not return. Hester was injured during a 24-yard kickoff return during the third quarter. He grabbed his left side and walked to the sidelines before being carted off the sidelines into the stadium.

Bears coach Lovie Smith acknowledged the injury during his postgame press conference, but didn’t give any details.

“We have injuries, that’s about all we know right now,” said Smith. “Of course he couldn’t finish the game and that’s a cause for concern whenever you don’t finish.”
