The Seattle Seahawks found some help for their depleted receiving corps on Wednesday, signing free agents Billy McMullen and Samie Parker.
The injury news in Seattle continues to be negative, though, as the Seahawks placed starting RG Rob Sims on injured reserve on Wednesday. Coach Mike Holmgren said Sims tore a pectoral muscle during Sunday’s 34-10 loss in the season opener at Buffalo and kept playing. The third-year veteran started all 16 games last season at left guard before moving over to the right side to replace Chris Gray. But Gray has since retired. Veteran Floyd Womack will start at right guard Sunday against San Francisco.
