The Tennessee Titans received the results of QB Vince Young’s MRI exam on Tuesday, which confirmed a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee.
The Titans gave no timetable for Young’s return, but indications are he could be sidelined anywhere from 2-4 weeks with the injury. His MRI exam was originally scheduled for Monday but had to be pushed back until Tuesday.
Young was injured during the fourth quarter of the Titans’ season-opening 17-10 win over the Jaguars on Sunday. NFL Network’s Adam Schefter reports the Titans are close to signing free-agent QB Chris Simms.
