Well, we now know where Jacksonville turned for offensive line help. It signed veteran free agent offensive linemen Milford Brown and Chad Slaughter on Tuesday to help solve a season-threatening crisis.
A guard who has played in Houston, Arizona and St. Louis, the 28-year-old Brown was amongst Carolina’s final cuts. He has started 43 of 48 games in the NFL.
The 30-year-old Slaughter was among the final cuts by the Ravens. He spent five seasons with the Raiders, for whom he started seven games.
Brown and Slaughter now become vital to David Garrard and the Jaguars season. The fact that they have illustrates what a difficult spot Jacksonville is now in.
