Jets sign Feely to replace ailing Nugent

Not that the Jets’ injury woes compare to those of the Patriots, but New York had to come up with a reinforcement of its own.

The Jets signed free-agent kicker Jay Feely on Monday, a former Giant. Feely has plenty of experience kicking in Giants Stadium.

The Jets opted on Feely after spending Monday working out three kickers to help replace their injured regular, Mike Nugent. They also worked out former Packer Dave Rayner and former Viking Aaron Elling.
