Seahawks WR Nate Burleson is confident he will play next week despite injuring his left knee during a 34-10 loss to the Bills on Sunday.
Burleson told reporters following the game he expects to be ready when the Seahawks host the Niners next week. Seattle coach Mike Holmgren was more reserved, saying Burleson’s status won’t be determined until he has more tests once the team returns to Seattle.
The Seahawks also lost RB Maruice Morris, who injured his right knee early in the second half. Here are the NFL GameDay scoreboard highlights.
Burleson’s injury status is a concern for the Seahawks, who were already without Bobby Engram (broken shoulder), Deion Branch (ACL) and Ben Obomanu (broken clavicle). Burleson led the Seahawks with five receptions for 60 yards and a TD. He was joined in the starting lineup by Courtney Taylor, who had two receptions for 19 yards.
