Chargers OT McNeill, C Hardwick out for opener

San Diego will be without its two-time Pro Bowl OT Marcus McNeill, who is out for the Chargers’ opener against the Panthers with a neck injury, and C Nick Hardwick, who is still recovering from foot surgery.

Carolina backup QB Matt Moore is also listed as out for the opener, with a broken fibula.
