Eagles claim Daniels, waive Boiman

The Eagles have claimed LB Tank Daniels off waivers from the New York Giants and released LB Rocky Boiman.

Daniels, 26, returns to Philadelphia after originally entering the NFL as a rookie free agent with the Eagles in 2006. He spent the first 10 weeks of his rookie season on Philadelphia’s practice squad before joining the 53-man roster prior to their game at Indianapolis on Nov. 26, 2006. Daniels went on to record nine special teams tackles in the team’s final six contests. In 2007, Daniels (6-3, 248) was a member of the Giants’ Super Bowl championship team, playing in four regular season games and all four postseason contests. In the playoffs, Daniels posted three special teams tackles and a forced fumble of a kickoff return by Michael Spurlock in a Wild Card game win at Tampa Bay.
