Raiders cut Archuleta

Adam Archuleta’s switch to outside linebacker was short lived as he was cut by the Raiders on Saturday. The Raiders were Archuleta’s fourth team. St. Louis selected Archuleta in the first round of the 2001 draft. He joined the Redskins in 2006, and was traded to the Bears in 2007, reuniting him with former St. Louis defensive coordinator Lovie Smith.
The other players released by the Raiders include C Jesse Boone, DB Darrick Brown, DE Greyson Gunheim, RB Adimchinobi Echemandu, DE Derrick Gray, WR Jonathan Holland, RB Luke Lawton, DB Nate Lyles, WR Chris McFoy, P Glenn Pakulak, RB Louis Rankin, RB Marcel Reece, G Brandon Rodd, DB Nick Sanchez, DT Josh Shaw, LB Shane Simmons, TE Darrell Strong, DB Marviel Underwood, DB Michael Waddell, and TE Chris Wagner.
The Raiders placed receive Arman Shields on injured reserve.
