Panthers QB Moore not seriously injured

The word on Carolina Panthers backup quarterback Matt Moore is the leg injury he suffered in Thursday night’s preseason finale is not serious. Moore doesn’t have any broken bones or damaged ligaments in his leg. A team spokesman said Friday that tests came back negative and Moore will be listed as day to day. It’s uncertain at this point if he’ll be ready to play in the season opener on Sept. 7 at San Diego.
