Favre, please come back

Retired Packers quarterback Brett Favre has the itch to come back to the NFL. He should scratch it, and comeback to the NFL.
Of course this is purely for selfish reasons.
I’m not a Packers fan. I do not sit around on Sundays wearing a Don Hutson jersey, nor do I use a Packers koozie for my beer. Rather, my fantasy football team could use an upgrade at quarterback. A big one. (You can see my team in our fantasy preview available here.)
My two quarterbacks are Matt Schaub and Jason Campbell. Decent enough fellows, but Favre would certainly be an upgrade to the team. And I have to believe there are a lot of fantasy football players out there who also would like to see Favre come back for another year.
Favre certainly isn’t the player that he once was, but he would still be a considerable upgrade over a lot of fantasy football quarterbacks. And he’s certainly a better fantasy option than Aaron Rodgers, who currently ranks No. 17 in NFL.com’s fantasy rankings for quarterbacks. And remember, this isn’t Shane Falco walking back into the NFL after spending his time scraping barnacles off boats. Favre ranked sixth in the NFL with 28 touchdown passes last season and was likely a great pickup for many people (he was for me last year).
If Favre can still bring it, he should play. I’ll be keeping my eye on the waiver wire.
